man is the storytelling animal
My Story
Everybody has a story to tell. Stories pull us together. They make us think. They tell us things about a person that we may not be able to know from anything else. And everybody has one.

I started making stories when I first learned to speak. I started telling my family tall tales about valiance and bravery, of kings and knights and princes. When I learned how to write, I scribbled words and colors onto bits of scrap paper so I wouldn't forget my stories. When I was old enough to use a video camera, I began telling more stories. I filmed dozens of videos, edited late at night with basic software, so I could share it with my family in the morning. The drive to tell stories was powerfully intoxicating, more than I could keep up with.
I took the path of the freelance writer, the content strategist, and SEO optimizer, where I create work that creates its own effects. I believe in the power stories have in our lives, that mankind uses stories to understand the world, and the worlds of other people. It is my privilege to work in such a necessary career.

I didn't choose storytelling because it's easy work. Telling a story is neither of those things. You must be willing to laugh with those who laugh. To grieve with those who grieve. To hold the entire human experience in the palm of your hand, and distribute it to others. It isn't for everyone.
